Xenophon Papademetris

Dr. Xenophon (Xenios) Papademetris is a professor of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging, and Biomedical Engineering at Yale. His research interests are in the areas of medical image analysis and the design and implementation of software for medical applications. In addition to co-authoring the textbook "Introduction to Medical Software: Foundations for Digital Health, Devices, and Diagnostics", he was also the lead instructor for the companion Coursera Class "Introduction to Medical Software." Dr. Papademetris is a native of Cyprus. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Sciences from Cambridge University (Robinson College) with first class honors. He then did his doctoral dissertation work at Yale University, where he was awarded the "Harding Bliss Prize for Excellence in Engineering and Applied Science."
