Susan D. Schadler is blessed with memories of a happy childhood spent visiting her grandparent's farm in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. The time growing up surrounded by sisters and parents and grandparents and cousins and aunts and uncles and beagles and a special horse and chickens and cats and a barn and a smokehouse with a cellar and gardens and fields and pastures and mountains to explore all around her and an old, beautiful white church with a bell in the steeple to call them to Sunday service was - pretty close to perfect. Today she spends time enjoying her own farm in a hundred-year-old farmhouse shared with her remarkable husband and their much-loved Brittany named Bentley and by reverencing the love of her Father in writing to celebrate faith and family - especially in the mountains.
