Leslie Anne Franklin

Hi,

I am the creator, compiler and editor of The Lost Bali Stories - Volume I and II.

During my thirty-three years of living in Bali, I witnessed social and environmental

developments over time.

My deep love for Bali includes the fervent spirituality of the Balinese and their endearing

hospitality, which remains steadfast and unchanged.

I founded the Facebook group “Lost Bali,” which, at present, has over 34 000 active

members. The group shares memories and photographs that have captured a time before 1990,

before mass tourism affected the island. The collective stories and images have served as

inspiration for my books.

I currently reside in my wood cabin in the mountain town of Big Bear, California. I love to write, hike and cook.

I am the mother of four children and four grandchildren.

‘The Lost Bali Stories’ - is a two volume anthology about Bali pre- mass tourism with true stories by eighty writers.
