Born in Derbyshire, England, my career was split evenly between management consultancy and senior management. I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant aged 24 and joined Price Waterhouse aged 27. I was seconded to the Singapore/Malaysia practice on an eighteen months contract and later managed an assignment in Southern India. I moved to industry aged 36 and became chairman of a leisure division within a large conglomerate.
I started writing for pleasure and have self-published two autobiographies, a trilogy of novels, two finance and management books and a book for children. Currently, I am working to produce a book of poetry.
I would like my readers to wallow in the day-to-day life of rural England, to be spell-bound by 100 years of a UK family saga, be amused by my take on corporate life and recall the devastating events following the 2008 financial crisis.
Money does not motivate me. But gripping my readers does.
