Constance M Brown-Anderson
Constance Brown-Anderson has spent over three decades as a leading educator serving youth and families across the state of New Jersey. Throughout her career, she has utilized her Child Psychology and Education background to mentor, counsel, and nurture young minds, planting messages of faith, encouragement, and determination along the way. However, amidst the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, she found the enthusiasm waning from her students as they struggled to adjust to prolonged isolation and remote learning. Inspired by the circumstances, Constance decided to write Kennedi Goes to Fake School. With her grand-daughter, Kennedi-Grace, as her muse, she wanted to demonstrate to her class an exercise in resiliency and remind them that the circumstance of learning should not hinder their greatness.
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, and now a longtime resident of South Plainfield, New Jersey, Constance holds her MEd from TCNJ and a Bachelor’s from Kean University. She is a wife, mother, grandmother, an avid writer and poet who enjoys traveling and gardening.
