Charissa Turbin

Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Charissa resided in the Lee-Harvard area of Cleveland’s East side. She has learned to accept herself which includes being a African-American woman living with disabilities. She is also a survivor of sexual abuse and the daughter of addicts. Both her parents have found their own paths to sobriety.

Charissa Turbin is an alumna of American Intercontinental University, where she holds a B.A. in Business Administration Management. Her working career has spanned the arenas of healthcare and health advocacy; education; community engagement; and working as a federal administrator. Currently, Charissa is a serial entrepreneur pursuing endeavors in writing, podcasting, and vending.

Charissa’s healing journey is leading her to find peace within herself, and focus on her passions and purposes of serving, encouraging, and helping others heal from trauma through writing.
