Nelle Heran (she/her) has always loved mysteries. She cut her teeth on Nancy Drew before graduating to Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, Josephine Tey, and Charlotte MacLeod. Full disclosure: She stopped watching Murder, She Wrote when she began identifying the murderer before the opening credits finished rolling.

Nelle also writes LGBTQ romance and mystery as E.J. Russell. She lives in rural Oregon with her Curmudgeonly Husband, enjoys visits from her wonderful adult children, and indulges in good books, red wine, and the occasional hyperbole.
