Chandra Shakya

I am a native of Lalitpur (Kathmandu Valley), Nepal belonging to Newar caste. Lately, I have been studying and writing on topics relating to Newar Buddhism. I am involved in various activities relating to one of the prominent monastery or Baha called Hiranyavarna Mahavihar or (Golden Temple as popularly known among tourists). I am involved as a member in editorial board of Publication Section of Bauddha Vihar Sangha (Organization of 33 Buddhist Monasteries of Lalitpur District). I have been contributing various articles to local journals and magazines. I have written some books as you would find here in KDP. I would like to communicate with interested readers and writers relating to Newar Buddhism. I hope to make friends from different countries as well. We have a great Newar Buddhist festival called "Samyek Mahadana" on 13 to 14 March 2024. It will be held at Nagbaha in Lalitpur, Nepal. This festival is held once in five year only.
