Azim Mujakic

I am Azim Mujakic, born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ex Yugoslavia.

I graduated from University in Banja Luka 1987, with a teaching degree. I worked as a teacher in Elementary school from August 1987 to August 1994.Because of the war in Bosnia I escaped as a refugee to Croatia, then Slovenia, and arrived in Germany in January 1995 with my wife and son.

After receiving a letter from my brother who lived in the United States, my family and I decided to move there too. With moving to another new country came its challenges like learning my fourth language. I was able to learn English and land a few jobs until I ultimately began teaching again but this time as an English Second Language teacher. I later on decided to go back to school with the support of my family who cheered me on at my graduation from Harris Stowe State University, with a BS in Educational Studies. I still live and work in St. Louis, MO to this day and where I have written two books so far.
