William Kely McClung

“I make up stories, oft times heroic, always intense, and usually violent.”

Earning his black belt in a half-dozen traditional disciplines, Kely studied dozens more with martial arts teachers around the world, and was launched into the film industry after winning the brutal International Full Contact Stick Fighting Championships.

Besides acting, Kely has directed two acclaimed short films, and three award-winning feature films.

His pen and ink portrait of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi hangs at the King Center in Atlanta, Georgia, while his photography is represented at the Michael-Warren Contemporary in Denver, Colorado.

Twice inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Honors in Germany, Kely continues to train with and teach various military, police, and private security operators across the globe.

LOOP, the wild, sci-fi/horror action adventure was Kely’s first novel. Look for Bad Ass, Ula, and Jessie in the upcoming sequel, THE INFECTED.

For fans of Lee Child's "Jack Reacher" and Robert Ludlum's "Jason Bourne," William Kely McClung's heart-pounding action-thriller BLACK FIRE, the first volume in the Tommy Black Thriller Series, was released in the spring of 2023, and takes the reader on a life and death stakes adventure across the world as Black focuses his talents for violence on "saving one life at a time... no matter who he has to kill!"

Kely is currently completing SUPER NINJA, an intense, science fiction/fantasy 'super hero' origin story to be released late Spring of 2024. Like his other stories and the films he's directed... intense, emotional, and violent.
