Ashley Palmer LCPC

Ashley Palmer is a wife, mother, and licensed psychotherapist with a mission and passion to provide children with the tools for developing social-emotional skills. ‘Boys Do Cry, A book about boys and their feelings’ is her debut picture book. Her work is centered in liberation and focused on improving the collective social wellbeing.

She has worked as an advocate and change agent for diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. She has provided mental health interventions to those experiencing and perpetuating intimate partner violence and in school based services. She has also worked as a natural hair stylist and educator.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Ashley earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Towson University. Ashley has traveled throughout Europe, Iceland, The West Indies, and studied psychology in South Africa.
