Ray Bourhis

Ray Bourhis is uniquely qualified to be a political pundit and an enemy of unbridled corruption. A lawyer practicing out of San Francisco and Santa Barbara, California, Bourhis has been at the forefront of the battle against greed and unbridled power for his entire life.

Born and raised in Elmhurst, Queens, Bourhis’ experiences have included surviving an attempt by gang members to throw him into a raging bonfire at the age of twelve; defending against the efforts of Ohio State bureaucrats to squelch his creation of OSU’s mascot, Brutus Buckeye; and holding onto his right to teach ‘Political English’ against all attempts by his Appalachian high school principal to shut him up.

From Appalachia to the presidential campaign of Senator Robert Kennedy, to law school at U C Berkeley, to community organizing with Cesar Chavez, to going toe to toe with “the likes of” William French Smith and Ed Meese, to suing multibillion dollar insurance companies for cheating policyholders, Bourhis has maintained a one-track mind-set for over forty years. To this day, his firm continues to set legal precedents and obtain record verdicts and settlements on behalf of the victims of corporate and political abuse.

Revolt The Secession of Fairview reflects a lifetime of distain over the hijacking of American values by special interests.

In addition to Revolt, Bourhis is the author of Insult to Injury, Autobiography of Brutus Buckeye, and This Ain’t Harvard.

The father of four children, he lives in Belvedere and Montecito, California.
