E.A. Channon

E.A. Channon was born into the English aristocracy and lived throughout the world as a child, since his father was a career officer in the British Armed Forces. His grandfather introduced E.A. to the bagpipes, an instrument he would master and then shape much of his adult life. At the age of 10, he played for Queen Elizabeth II, and then many other world dignitaries as a teen and adult. E.A. was a member of both the U.S. and British armies where he found many opportunities to play his bagpipes in military bands and at British embassies and diplomatic occasions. His life as a bagpiper is hilariously and charmingly told in his book, Bagpiper–Whatever Blows Up Your Kilt. The popularity of his book and his global reputation as a bagpiper has also made him a much-in-demand speaker for cruises, group programs and educational audiences.
