Jeffrey Hanson is Associate Professor of Philosophy at New College of Florida and Senior Philosopher at Harvard University’s Human Flourishing Program. He is the author of numerous publications on 19th- and 20th-century Continental European philosophy of religion, philosophy of work, and meaning in life. He is the author of “Kierkegaard and the Life of Faith: The Aesthetic, the Ethical, and the Religious in ‘Fear and Trembling’” and “Philosophies of Work in the Platonic Tradition: A History of Labor and Human Flourishing.” He is co-editor with Sharon Krishek of “Kierkegaard’s ‘The Sickness unto Death’: A Critical Guide;” co-editor with Michael R. Kelly and Brian Harding of “Michel Henry’s Practical Philosophy;” co-editor with J. Aaron Simmons and Wojciech Kaftanski of "Kierkegaardian Phenomenologies;" and co-editor with Michael R. Kelly of “Michel Henry: The Affects of Thought.” He is the editor of “Kierkegaard as Phenomenologist: An Experiment.”
