The Author, like most Black boys, did not have a happy childhood because his father died early. Nonetheless, his mother, reputed as a Saint, did all what she could for his education and emigration from Ghana to the U.S. 50 years ago. As a result, he has two master’s degrees (business and economics), has studied towards a PhD, and reads widely on a daily basis. He has lived in various states and has traveled to Europe, albeit on short term trips and enjoys the study of languages. In his social life, he has gotten a chance to know the late U.S. Senator Kennedy and the late-president George H.W. Bush. Now, the notion of Black Americans coming from Africa to settle in America is a story in many parts as told by different people and that makes Kissi’s books delightful. Colin Powell, Sidney Poitier, and other Black men share a similar profile, for we all began with Africa.
