Gillian B. Silver

Gillian Beth Silver, MPH, CPH is the Finance Coordinator for and a member of the International Collaboration for Participatory Research. She is the Director, Research Administration and Associate Director, ASCEND Center for Biomedical Research and the Research Center for Minority Institutions (RCMI@Morgan) Center for Urban Health Disparities Research and Innovation, at Morgan State University. She managed the ASCEND Community-Based Participatory Research Small Grants Initiative. She is one of the authors of the book Practitioner Research for Social Workers, Nursing and Health Professionals, published by Johns Hopkins University Press. Her past experience includes serving as the Manager of the Johns Hopkins-based Mid-Atlantic Public Health Training Center; Coordinator of Public Health Practice at the Morgan State University School of Community Health and Policy; Manager of Educational and Research Programs at the Association of Schools of Public Health; she also worked at the Women’s and Children’s Health Policy Center at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Ms. Silver received her MPH from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health (New York, NY, USA) and is Certified in Public Health (CPH) through the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
