Alice E. Johnson is a Nottinghamshire-based screenwriter, novelist, and BBC presenter with over a decade of experience across historical fiction, epic fantasy, psychological horror, and crime.
A writer and presenter for BBC Inside Out and BBC Radio Nottingham, and producer for Notts TV, Alice brings a broadcaster's instinct for story to everything she writes. Her published works span multiple genres including the historical fiction trilogy that forms the basis of her television project The Lions Chamber, and the Iron Age novella The Darkest Night, now in development as a feature film.
Alice's slate of television and film projects — including the psychological horror series Fresh Water and the paranormal comedy drama The Voices of Queensbury Hall — has attracted attention from senior industry professionals across the BBC, ITV, Sky, and beyond.
She writes from Nottinghamshire, where she is fuelled by strong tea, historical rabbit holes, and a complete inability to have just one project on the go at a time.
