Laura Sharp-Waites is a Pastoral Counselor, Transformational Grief Coach, Author, and Speaker. Helping people has always been a gift for Laura. For many years, she was a Special Education Teacher, College Professor, and Pastor supporting people of all ages and walks of life through a myriad of personal, professional, and spiritual struggles. Now Laura focuses on helping Christian women heal from sorrow, trauma, or abuse.

In her Dare To Live Again programs, Laura shares how to:

• overcome feelings of shame, guilt, unworthy, and worthless

• live without numbing agents

• avoid self-harm

• navigate their new normal

• move forward

• learn how to trust again

• feel peace, comfort, and security

• and handle the hard days, and the days in between

Laura has authored 2 Journal Articles and 2 books including 1 International Best-Selling book.

Laura now blends her extensive educational experience and certifications to help her clients. Laura holds a number of certifications, a Master’s in Special Education, a Master’s in Divinity: Pastoral Counseling, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership.

Laura enjoys spending time with her husband Todd, her parents, mother-in-law, and critters – Roscoe and Sassy. When not working, you can find her reading several books, doing a Bible Study, cooking, baking, spending time in the North Carolina/Tennessee Mountains, and enjoying a good cup of coffee!
