Em Alagbary

Em is a professional creative who lives and works in NZ’s beautiful UNESCO City of Literature.

Em has spent most of her 15+ year creative career doing web, print, and brand design in her second home, Chicago. She has done work for a wide variety of industries and with people from all over the world including the US, UK, Canada, NZ, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

First published as a teenager in the anthology Bona Fide: 53 true Kiwi stories about life as a teen (Avocado, 2003), Em’s first loves are art and writing. Almost a decade ago Em transitioned her creative career to indie children’s books and is currently Lead Creative and indie author-illustrator at Little Dragon Books.

When she’s not creating professionally, you can find Em having adventures with her family and watching the clouds. This is Em, lover of the sky and the color yellow, collector of picture books and stones.
