From a young age, the Author had been deeply intrigued with the dynamics of systems, whether natural or manmade. This drove him to pursue an educational career that culminated in four prestigious engineering degrees, including a double Masters in Mechanical Engineering and in Systems & Control Engineering as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering.
Having published numerous, highly technical research articles in those fields, one subject of interest remained unaddressed and that is the ultimate machine on Earth, the Human Brain. He then spent years accumulating knowledge and experience in this area through self-study of published literatures on the functionality of the brain and, more importantly, why and how our brain regularly slides into an uncontrolled mental battle leaving us as nothing more than a bewildered spectator. This is the second book by the Author, which explains in lucid terms the brain’s main segregation of functions and their main command handles, as seen through the eyes of an engineer. Understanding these characteristics would greatly allow us to interact with our mind more effectively, so that we can take back total command and control of that majestic information processing tool.
The lessons contained herein have guided the Author in not only managing his own Mental Poise, but also in inspiringly managing and leading hundreds of top-notch engineers and managers across the globe, as well as deftly interacting with all nature of bosses. The human skills discussed in the book have been instrumental in complementing the Author’s broad technical abilities in successfully executing numerous fast-track, high value, technology-based engineering projects.
