Lori, a former teacher, worked in brand & management consultancy, advertising and at the BBC before co-founding the brand and ad agency Joint in 2012, where she worked with clients including Amazon, Vue, Google and Reach.
A survivor of a violent sexual assault on the street as a young woman, she’s long worked towards gender equality; and over the years she’s helped organisations including Terence Higgins Trust, Just Like Us (a young people’s LGBTQ+ charity working with schools), My Image My Choice (who deal with Image Based Sexual Abuse), Women in Journalism, and she’s currently Hon Comms member of Women in Advertising & Communications Leadership, working to accelerate gender equality across adland, media and comms.
She firmly believes that life isn’t a zero sum game, that winning doesn’t have to come at someone else’s expense, and that if we work together and try to understand each other, we can build a world that works better for all of us.
