Cheryl C.C. McKenzie

Cheryl C.C. McKenzie grew up in Jamaica, West Indies.

During the 1970s, she migrated to the United States and soon attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. In 1981 Ms. McKenzie owned and operated Kriss Kross Fashion design studio in the Chelsea garment district in Manhattan. She is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

In 1991, she attended the City University of New York. After completing her studies, she worked in the President’s office for many years. In later years she held positions in Cooperative Education, Information Technology, Financial Services, Educational Planning, and Student Affairs. She enjoys working with young adults supporting their efforts in setting and achieving goals. She is also a trailblazer in CUNY’s annual student scholarship funds campaign. Ms. McKenzie retired in 2021 after working for over three decades in academia.
