Deidra Smith

Deidra Smith is a Survivor, Connector, Influencer and has been a Game Changer in Human Resources and is now an author. Deidra’s favorite and most passionate position is mother to her two sons Gerome and Chandler. She is a wife to her phenomenally supportive husband Gerome Smith for over 20 years. Deidra’s has utilized her HR expertise in a number of industries i.e. financial services, health and wellness, sustainability, publishing and the cannabis industry.

Deidra is passionate about helping people achieve their career aspirations. Deidra has assisted clients in Professional Rebranding, Salary Negotiations, Resume Enhancement, and Interviewing skills. She is also enjoys helping businesses who need HR experts to take their business to the next level so she co-founded Next Level HR Solutions, www.nextlevelhr.org. NLHR was founded to help businesses and individuals reach their full potential.

Deidra also teaches English all across the globe in countries like Brazil, China, Europe and Japan. Deidra taught Creative and Critical Thinking for the University of Phoenix for 6 years. Deidra is mastering Spanish language to communicate with her LatinX clients. Deidra holds her Masters in Human Resources from Keller Graduate School of Management which is the business school for Devry University. She received her Bachelors of Arts and Science degree from Illinois State University in Industrial Organizational Psychology. She holds 2 professional certifications, PHR and SHRM-CP. She also holds a certification in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
