For the past ten years, I have helped develop a youth sports and enrichment program called Koa Sports League, located in Bethesda, MD. As the director of community affairs, I worked hand and hand with the C.E.O to create and run youth sports enrichment programs while specializing in providing a premium youth sports experience to our members. As a mid-level professional with over 20 years of experience, I have developed and managed a lot of dynamic programs for young men and women. I also have in-depth experience in adolescent and adult juvenile justice programs spanning a diversity of social and human service environments including social activism, case management, youth development, community outreach, and community service. As a case manager for an adolescent correctional facility, I prepped clients and participants to assist them in entering and or re-entering the workforce; conducted an in-depth assessment to determine client interest as well as skill level; provided job coaching; conducted workshops on life skills development; met with prospective employers to assess their needs and to identify appropriate clients. Additionally, as a communicator, I have done extensive work with clients from diverse backgrounds and ages. In this role, I formed relationships with a wide variety of individuals, provided services to meet the needs of a diversified group of individuals, and strengthened clients' overall skill set.

In my expertise and experiences as an urban youth program developer, I helped to create the kinds of programs that make a difference in the urban landscape. For example, because of my hands-on expertise as an enrichment program developer, I have been recently able to share that knowledge in a one-on-one teaching relationship or as a mentor for many sports programs throughout the country. I am extremely proud of the work I have been able to do using sports to enrich and mentor male youth into becoming their best selves.

As a United States Navy veteran, I honorably served 98% of my enlistment at sea. Successfully served in Operation Desert Storm / Desert Shield as well as Operation Sea Signal. Along with the US Coast Guard, my battlegroup assisted with the repatriation of migrants to Haiti as Petty Officer 3rd Class in the Service division aboard the Amphibious Assault Vessels, USS-Harlan County, and the USS-Tortuga.
