Kelly Pardue was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She and her husband met in the Army, had two kids, and now live in Mesa, Arizona.
Any scenes she's written that involve the acquiring and detaining of aliens in mysterious government compounds have no relation to her time in the military. This is a work of fiction, imagination, and not at all of personal experience, of course.
Kelly dreamed of being an author her whole life, and those dreams finally came true thanks to hip surgery, of all things. In need of something to do during her recovery, she began writing Flashpoint, the first installment in the Regarding Florians series.
After dipping her toes in the mystery and crime genres and toying with fantasy, Kelly discovered sci-fi was her true calling.
Outside of extraterrestrial imaginings, Kelly loves her family and pets. She believes donuts are the superior pastry and admits to singing horribly while driving. Flashpoint may be Kelly's first book, but it's not going to be her last. And she won't even need more hip surgery to keep writing!
