Judith Warren MPH

Judith Warren broadens her passion for writing professionally to a new genre of personal storytelling in her first book release. Judith retired in 2019 after a successful career as an executive leader with nonprofit health organizations and private philanthropy. In her roles she had the opportunity to create and manage successful organizations as well as mentoring young professionals as they developed their skills for future leadership roles.

Shortly after retirement, Warren established Ascentia Strategies, LLC to continue her passion for working with leaders of health/community collaboratives, community-based organizations, and policy makers to advance and ultimately achieve individual and community health improvement and health equity. She has a specific interest in serving with causes that improve women’s health and well-being.

She served as a former Board Chairperson and member of Communities Joined in Action, and Past President of the Board of Trustees of the Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency. Warren received the Mary Lou Andersen Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 from Communities Joined in Action and was honored as a Champion of Health by UHCAN Ohio for her efforts as an advocate for the medically and socially underserved. She was also honored by the Greater Cincinnati YWCA as a Career Woman of Achievement in 2011.

Judith holds a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Michigan. She completed additional doctoral studies in Organizational Change and Leadership Development at Walden University. She is a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., an international public service nonprofit organization.

Currently, she serves as Executive Director of Zion Global Missions, the nonprofit arm of Zion Global Ministries (West Chester, OH). In this capacity Judith manages missions’ activities in Kenya, Ghana and Zambia that focus on education, health and economic development.

She is a proud Nana of 4 grandchildren and has two adult children.
