Ray Geers is a writer whose work explores faith, memory, and the interior life as it unfolds within ordinary commitments, shaped by long association with the monks of Gethsemani. He first encountered monastic life as a high school student and later entered the monastery’s postulancy and novitiate in the late 1980s. He works as a therapist in physical medicine in an acute care hospital and lives with his wife, Jeanne. They have three adult children and a grandson. His writing grows out of long attention to silence, prayer, and daily life, and is also shared through his blog, Solitude Shared Press.
