Danica Hubbard PH D

Danica Hubbard, Ph.D., has taught for over 25 years as an English Professor at a community college. She is a current Board Member of Prison Families Alliance and facilitates PFA monthly support groups including “Coping with Loss” and “Support for Families of Sexual Offenders." https://prisonfamiliesalliance.org She has also designed curriculum with the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice and Justice Studies Program at College of DuPage.

Dr. Hubbard's book, Sex Offender: My Father’s Secrets, My Secret Shame is a multi-layered memoir and valuable resource reflecting on the relationship with her father while he was serving time and eventually died in a Wisconsin state prison hospice. The book has universal appeal, helping families and friends who have incarcerated loved ones navigate the criminal justice system, sharing our private pain to encourage hope and understanding.
