in elementary school, and this was confirmed in high school when she wrote an essay in the school magazine, The Oleander at the

Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School in Soufriere

Saint Lucia, West Indies.

The author attended Ramapo College of New Jersey and graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science and a certification in

Elementary Education.

The author also gets inspiration for her writing from her experience as a Teacher, Nanny, Designer, Realtor, and Waitress...wife, sister, aunt, daughter, stepmom, friend and professional.

Mrs. Nelson now lives with her husband in the Catskill region of

upstate New York.
