Tom Gorman

Tom Gorman is a business writer, publisher, and communications consultant specializing in family wealth preservation, corporate and family governance, risk management, marketing, and leadership.

He has authored or ghosted more than 200 articles and 20 business books and is best known for his books in the Complete Idiot’s Guide series.

Tom's newest book, Family-Proof Your Wealth, helps families to preserve their assets and relationships over generations. This book makes practices from family dynamics, family governance, and allied areas easier and more accessible.

Previously, Tom worked in management at DRI/McGraw-Hill and Dun & Bradstreet and in banking and executive search. He has facilitated more than 100 communication workshops and completed CTI’s Co-Active Coaching Fundamentals course.

Tom holds a BS in psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA in finance from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
