Jenelle Simpson

Jenelle Simpson is a transformational memoirist, speaker, and founder of Life’s Deceit, a platform devoted to breaking generational cycles, confronting silence, and building legacy by choice.

Jenelle’s work bridges culture, faith, identity, and healing. She is the author of Commitment to a Deceitful Liar and Lips of Truth, deeply personal memoirs that explore survival, sisterhood, betrayal, generational trauma, and the courage required to reclaim one’s voice.

Her broader body of work includes Misunderstood: A Big Brother’s Journey, a reflective narrative centered on perspective and family dynamics, and Processing Healing Flourishing: “It’s Personal” Workbook, a guided resource designed to help readers actively engage in their own healing process.

Through her writing, the Life’s Deceit Podcast, Know and Jen, and The MIRROR Method™, Jenelle creates spaces where truth is spoken out loud and shame loses its power. Her message is clear: healing is intentional, legacy is chosen, and silence is not strength.

In addition to her creative work, Jenelle is a senior real estate law clerk specializing in condominium development and commercial transactions, founder of the Roots of Jenerational Legacy Foundation, and co-founder and CEO of multiple purpose-driven ventures.

Recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Black Women to Watch, Jenelle does not simply write stories, she shifts narratives. Her mission is to empower women to confront the past, stand in their truth, and build lives rooted in sovereignty, faith, and intentional legacy.
