Anne Stanton

Anne Stanton has enjoyed seeing her short stories published in literary journals, a creative piece in Ladybug Magazine, and several poems in a Christian chapbook. She's published inspirational and news articles in various city newspapers, her favorite being a breaking, front page story on the endangered bumblebee ('07), printed in the now defunct Ashland Daily Tidings (1876-2021). Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Anne had lived in the same house until leaving for college, two hours west, her sophomore year. After graduating in English Education she continued her westward movement, exploring all three coastal states until rooting in a small PNW seaport city, where she’s lived for over twenty years. As a certified teacher she rallied round home education in the early eighties. She helped parents in her church to launch with confidence before her own children arrived. She taught her daughter and son, and other homeschoolers in various communities along the way. Now a grandmother to four unique girls, she spends her time writing, mostly about girls, boys, family, and faith. Beyond the Cradle is her debut novel (2022). The Begins of Into enters as Book One in The Golden Cord Series (2022). Its sequel, Book Two, the final book of the series, came out in 2024 and goes by the title of The Crèche Catcher. On December 8, 2024 a collection of short stories about women at critical junctures will be released under the title of the first story in the collection, Out of Brokenness.
