Bob Dixon is a leadership coach and a strategic consultant focused on helping senior leaders and their organizations be their best.
Bob enlisted in the Massachusetts Army National Guard when he was a seventeen-year-old high school student, where he learned to carry heavy stuff and observe leaders. After completing Army ROTC, he served 27 years on active duty in postings worldwide, including operational tours in Bosnia-Herzegovina and combat tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
During his service, Bob served as an advisor, planner, and strategist for U.S. Special Operations Command, the Chief of Staff of the Army, and the 10th Mountain Division. He led people and teams and commanded organizations at multiple levels. He learned the value of servant leadership and challenging “the way we’ve always done things.”
He retired in 2020 at the rank of colonel after serving as the commander of the Little Rock District, US Army Corps of Engineers. He never tired of observing leaders and learning from the best of them, but he doesn’t carry heavy stuff as often now.
After retiring from the military, Bob took the leadership lessons he learned in uniform and has worked with leaders in the private, nonprofit, and government sectors to help them be their best.
With degrees in Physics, Operations, Management, and Strategy, Bob brings a unique approach to coaching that combines a rigorous academic background with decades of practical experience.
Bob lives in Tampa with his wife, Kim, the two kids who haven’t outgrown them yet (the other two are in college), and a Golden Retriever named Daisy.
