Welcome to my Amazon author page with information about my metaliteracy books! My latest book Metaliteracy in a Connected World: Developing Learners as Producers (2022) is co-authored with Trudi Jacobson for ALA/Neal-Schuman. We also co-authored the first book about metaliteracy, a model that we originated, entitled Metaliteracy: Reinventing Information Literacy to Empower Learners (2014). We are co-editors of several books including Metaliterate Learning for the Post-Truth World (2019), Metaliteracy in Practice (2016), Teaching Information Literacy Online (2011), Collaborative Information Literacy Assessments: Strategies for Evaluating Teaching and Learning (2010), Using Technology To Teach Information Literacy (2008), and Information Literacy Collaborations That Work (2007). All of this work emerges from my work as an educator advancing metaliteracy in my research and teaching. Currently I'm Professor in the Department of Arts and Media, School of Arts and Humanities at SUNY Empire State College and Dr. Susan H. Turben Chair in Mentoring. I was appointed Extraordinary Professor, Research Unit Self-Directed Learning, Faculty of Education, North-West University, South Africa.
