Luanne J. Langdon

Luanne Langdon is a retired teacher-librarian who has spent a lifetime enjoying books. She has worked with primary and elementary aged children in a classroom or library setting for over 30 years. An outdoor enthusiast, she has a great appreciation and love of nature in general - and animals in particular. "Dolly's Rescue" is her first picture book.

Luanne Langdon was inspired to write "The Two Lights" by the lighthouses that dot her island home, and by the powerful and ever-restless ocean that batters its coastline. She is a retired teacher-librarian who lives by the sea in eastern Newfoundland, Canada, near the setting of this story. The events of this tale were told to her by her mother, who recalled the event.
