Florie Parker

Florie Parker is the pen name I am using as I introduce readers to the first in a trilogy of children's fantasy books, The Shadow of the Rowan Tree. Florie was my fathers grandmother and Parker is my mothers maiden name. Family is a strong theme, having been inspired also by my four children. I work as a consultant surgeon within the NHS and have much enjoyed the opportunity to create a world to escape to. Walking my dog Bruno has given me the time and space to imagine new characters and the plots they find themselves in.
