Royston Ellis

ROYSTON ELLIS is the author of over 60 published books, including million-selling paperbacks published in the UK and USA. Born in England in 1941, he has lived since 1980 in Sri Lanka where he writes in a colonial bungalow overlooking the Indian Ocean. He is the author, most recently, of Beach Shorts, a collection of short stories written in e-mail collaboration with a childhood neighbour, Ruth Smith, whom he hasn’t met in person for 70 years. He is also the author of India By Rail and Bradt guidebooks to Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Maldives as well as a collection of beat poetry, Gone Man Squared.
