Katerina Lagos

Born and raised in Edmonds, Washington, Katerina completed her Honors Bachelor of Arts in both History and Political Science at the University of Washington. She completed her Master of Arts at New York University, and then completed her DPhil in Modern History at St. Antony's College, Oxford. Katerina is trained as a modern European historian, with an emphasis on the interwar period. Her first book, The Greek Military Dictatorship: Revisiting a Troubled Past, 1967-1974, was inspired by her parents' story during this period. Katerina's research interests focus on modern Greece, with an emphasis on fascism, minorities, education, identity, and dictatorships.
