Kyle Palmer

Kyle Palmer, EdD, is the former award-winning former principal of Lewis and Clark Elementary in Liberty, Missouri.

Kyle is a passionate believer in the power of professional learning communities (PLCs) and uses his leadership experiences and expertise to help schools build collaborative cultures to implement the right work to improve student learning for all. Kyle is also a passionate believer in identifying and growing leaders to help grow the capacity of the learning organization.

Kyle was named the Distinguished Principal for the Clay-Platte region of the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals in 2013 and won the New Principal Award from the same region in 2009. Under his leadership,

Lewis and Clark was designated as a Model PLC school by Solution Tree, as well as an International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) Model School in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Kyle is also a John Maxwell trained speaker, trainer, and coach. Kyle is currently the Executive Director of Human Resources in the Center School District. Kyle has presented at several state and national conventions and other leadership conferences.

Kyle received his bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa, his master’s degree in education leadership from Drake University, and his doctorate in education leadership from Baker University. Kyle, his wife Tarah, and their four children (Karson, Klaire, Kal & Kauffman) reside in Liberty, Missouri.
