Lancey Leon, Robbins her maiden name, was born in 1998 in Idaho. A young author and artist, she has always had a passion for the creative arts. She originally first attended Brigham Young University Idaho to study art with an emphasis in painting, but after returning from serving an 18-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New York City, she switched courses and began seeking a degree in Virtual Design and Construction. She found that this way she could fulfill all her passions to build and create, writing and painting on the side, then working as a designer and drafter for construction companies full time. She met her husband Andrew Leon February 2021 and after their second date, they knew they would marry each other. They were married that same year in July after experiencing a horrific accident and Lancey soon after being diagnosed with cancer. They joked that they were doing things backwards, they’d deal with the hard stuff first and the honeymoon phase would come later. Now a cancer survivor, Lancey expects to lead a long and happy life with plans to start a family with Andrew in the future. She continues to create and share art, is working to build her career in VDC, explores the potential of writing further works of literature, and is excited to enjoy whatever adventures life has to throw at her next.
