M.E. Hosking

Based in Sydney, Australia, Maddy is a masters candidate in sociology and urban studies with qualifications in humanities and law.

She taught herself to read as a preschooler, and began writing when she was a young girl, starting with a short story of how dragons were thought extinct because they simply only answered to the tenor of children's voices (and who listened to children, anyway?).

Maddy writes primarily low fantasy, but with works across genres. Her debut novel, From the West Comes the Wind, is an exploration of the way hope answers darkness and how we all can strive for light.
