Margie Janes is an Amazon best-selling author and the 3x first-place winner of The BookFest Awards for her debut, new adult romance True Companion.

Margie grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Eastern Illinois University, where she met her husband, Bill, before earning a master’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University. Now an elementary school teacher, she is fortunate to spend her days teaching, connecting with, learning from, and entertaining a room full of 9-year-olds.

Margie began writing True Companion at the age of thirteen after being inspired by Phil Colin’s 1990 music video “Do You Remember?” The video features a girl and a boy who instantly connect and create a friendship until they are separated by an event. True Companion is not your ordinary girl-meets-boy novel. Margie crafted this novel over thirty years, writing from a child's perspective when Beck was a little girl, a college student's perspective, when Beck was in college, and a mother's perspective when she wrote the parts of Suzanne and Janet.

True Promise is the continuation of True Companion and picks up where Beck and TJ’s story left off. Margie loves reading, writing, watching movies, traveling with friends and family, cheering at her kids’ sporting activities, and playing with her rescue pup, Skyler.
