I have done many things in life. Not all of them worked out as planned, and some experiences have been more than comical. What got me into writing is another story that can raise an eyebrow or two. You see, I always thought that writing is for exceptional people who are born to do so. It is for people who have done nothing but write day in and out ever since birth. I couldn't have been more wrong. In 2017 staying at home as a mum, I saw my child staring at pointless YouTube videos and decided that I could do that too, especially since I had nothing else to do. Long story short, despite getting a ton of subscribers, the income was nonexistent, and I messed up a lot. But I had a taste of making videos. So what comes next? Make a movie, of course! But for a good film, you need a good story! And so I set to write my very first story, about a dream I had a while ago. It was a story about a crazy mum, who meets an alien and gets special abilities to fly with chairs and other objects. I imagined how it would pan out and how I would end up on an alien planet and come back with riches beyond imagination.

What a great film that would make don't you think?

Writing a good hearty, funny book took me over half a year. During which I enjoyed every single moment in front of my laptop that could not hold a charge for more than 4-5 hours a day. Writing brought peace to my mind—the kind of peace I never had making videos or doing anything else in my life. Even when I spent three and a half months fixing grammatical errors on the book, searching google for information and synonyms for the words, I enjoyed every minute with it.

Isn't it strange how life works out?

So maybe writing isn't only for special people. Maybe writing is a passion that grows as you age and matures with every experience you have?
