Alison Thompson

Alison G. Thompson is an Oxford, MS native and a graduate of the University of Mississippi (‘13). She developed her love for reading from her mother at a young age. There was always an Eric Jerome Dickey or a Terry McMillan book on her mother’s nightstand or workbag. Each time Alison would try to sneak and read one of her books, her mom would say, “I’ll save these for you when you get older.” As Alison grew, not only did she discover her own love for reading, but her teachers, Mrs. Miller and Dr. Lowe assisted her in finding her voice through writing and speaking.

In 2021, Alison and her son, Lucas (5) published, "Super Lucas." Alison and Lucas' mission is to encourage everyone to use their super powers to make the world a better place.

The summer of 2022, Alison and her daughter, Aria (2) published, "Twos With Tootie." This book is a celebration for every terrific, two- year- old and all things Two!

Alison is the owner and head creator of Greenline Creative, LLC. Their mission is to amplify the black voice and to hold space for the black protagonists. Knowing the alarming literacy rates of black children, Alison is motivated to write and publish more books where black characters are the focal point.
