In 2020 when the Covid pandemic took hold, I ended up experiencing some of the life changing events that many others faced. I lost my job, sold my home in Tucson Arizona, and moved in with my daughter’s family in Sonora, CA. With lots of free time on my hands, I was able to isolate with my new granddaughter Bella.

Part of our daily routine included a walk around the neighborhood and through the parking lot of the Sonora Moose Lodge. We quickly made friends with the large wooden moose on the wall of the Lodge, and named him Malcom. One day on our walk, at the end of a hot summer, Malcom was gone! This created quite the consternation, and Bella was concerned about Malcom. Where was he? Every day we would discuss where he might have gone. After about a week, he was back! They had removed him for maintenance, and he was sanded, painted and refreshed. Bella was very happy to see him again, so we decided he just took a bit of a vacation. He sure looked refreshed and happy upon his return.

This book is a passion project. I enjoy living in the world of imagination with Bella and this story invites readers to join us.

Although it is hard to go from 100 MPH as I did in my professional life as a youth sports coach, to zero miles per hour in an instant. I am truly blessed to have this time to spend with my young granddaughter. My plans for the future, and things I still want to accomplish include the following;

1. Getting an RV and changing my address to "The USA" and travel around our beautiful country in search of the coolest nouns (people, places and things).

2. Writing another children's book based on the imaginary adventures I take with my granddaughter, and future grandchildren.

3. Completing the written story of my father's life and experience as a POW in the Pacific theatre during WWII.

4. Developing and bringing a product to market, implementing the the unique technology for which I have recently been awarded a patent.

5. Invest as much time as I can in mastering the guitar. Im estimating I have about 9,500 hours to go to become an expert (using the 10,000 hour rule).

6. and finally...............raising quail. This is something that I have wanted to do since the age of 11.

If I can accomplish these things, I can meet my maker with a smile on my face. If not..........I will have tried my best!

Say a prayer for our mother earth, and all her tribes, and be good humans. Thanks for visiting my author page.
