Eric John Shanburn

Eric John Shanburn was born in Detroit and raised in Royal Oak, MI. He was always interested in church services and activities. At age 16 God's love broke through during a church youth group trip. He studied psychology and youth ministry at a Christian college. After finishing an MSW at U of M, he started churches, bands, music festivals, and nonprofits. He later completed two more graduate degrees in theology. He serves as Discipleship Pastor at Shepherd's Gate Church in Shelby Township, MI. He lives with his wife, son, daughter, a basset hound named Duchess, and two bunnies.
