Sean Nye

Sean Nye is Associate Professor of Practice in Musicology at the University of Southern California. A scholar of electronic music and dance culture, he recently published a book on the Berlin electronic duo Modeselektor for 33 1/3 Europe (Bloomsbury Academic, 2022). His articles and reviews have appeared in academic journals and edited volumes, including a chapter on "South Park" for "Music in Television: Channels of Listening" (Routledge, 2011) and on Kraftwerk in "Dreams of Germany: Musical Imaginaries from the Concert Hall to the Dance Floor" (Berghahn, 2018). He was a DAAD-Fellow at the Humboldt University of Berlin and a fellow in the Berlin Program of Advanced German and European Studies.
