Benjamin Jacob Bloch PhD

Author Biography

Dr. Benjamin Jacob Bloch holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from The Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn; a Professional Degree in Education; Permanent Certification 9–12 in Math, Physics and Science; and Certification in Supervisor/Administrator in New York State.

A retired Adjunct Full Professor of Physics at the Polytechnic Institute of New York, he is the founding Advisor to Omega Phi Alpha.

At Commack High School he taught AP Physics and AP Mathematics, mentored teachers and developed new programs.

His industrial experience includes Columbia University Hudson Laboratories, the Bendix Corporation, General Precision, the Grumman Aerospace Corporation and a scientific mission to the North Polar Region.

For eight years he published a monthly math problem and contributed editorials to the Professional Surveyor Magazine.

A former concert violinist he is a graduate of the High School of Music & Art.
