Julie Hess

Growing up near a town with Swedish roots, Artist Julie Hess began her journey in art with inspiration from her family and heritage. “It first started with a few gnome paintings and took off from there.” In her first book her gnome paintings take on a new life, as she uses them to tell a story and create their own picture of what a world of Gnomes would be like. She didn't stop there, her next book was inspired by her dog Thor My Hero -who's superpower is to make people smile.
