Newly published author. Born In Juneau Alaska, raised in Atlin, British Columbia Canada, an isolated historic gold mining town discovered in 1898. I have completed two books with one published by Fathom Publishing of Anchorage Alaska. Atlin Where Everyone Knows Your Dog's Name was released December 6th 2021 and is a biography about my youth growing up in a unique and diverse community in an exceptional time. It's about fishing, trapping, hunting, building rafts and playing guns as we called it. I was surrounded by malamutes and huskies and at times I thought I was one of the pack. We mushed dogs and ran a trapline, we ate moose meat and we cut our own wood. I currently balance my time between work in the Alaskan Arctic and home life in Central BC. I'm working on multiple short stories and constantly tweaking my second book a mystery aimed at young teens. It takes place in modern Juneau and Douglas AK, the protagonist is a twelve year old boy who with his dog Hogan takes on a band of ruthless thieves to solve a mystery about hidden Klondike gold, pirates and a long forgotten crime that all have a mysterious link to Murphy and his family.
